In a world of no poverty, all persons enjoy equal rights and dignity with confidence as citizens to the advancement of communities and the world at large. The sacred grove plays an important role and well-being in the conservation of natural and spiritual resources to these communities. The outstanding biodiversity features and cultural diversity of the sacred grove are vulnerable, due to fragmentation and encroachment for agriculture, illegal harvesting of trees and settlements close to the grove are subject to degradation which threatens the ancestral values of the grove. The resource degradation is in ascendancy as the people tried to resort to adhoc measures to address the issue of deteriorating lifestyle as a result of low income induced poverty. There was therefore the need to create strategies that adopt planned and sustainable resource use that would reduce deforestation and consequently result in resilience of biodiversity and other vital resources of this sacred forest.
The community members are ever ready to contribute and volunteer in terms of labor for the success of this project. The community is experiencing the spiritual repercussions in resource depletion and to participate in the implementation.
