This project will support the development of the singing (masha) and traditional dance course. The development of this activity is sought to guarantee the continuity in the transmission of the cultural knowledge of the Shipibo Konibo people in the young people and children who live in the Bena Jema intercultural community, due to the loss of these values in them.

For this reason, this activity will be carried out under the responsibility of a wise man of culture, who masters the ancestral songs and terms.

Another part of the project consists of ancestral gastronomy. This activity is proposed, with the purpose of continuing to transmit cultural knowledge to the children and young people of the Shipibo Konibo people. Many of them have stopped consuming and carrying out these activities so they don’t even know about them. They are practices that are no longer being promoted in the communities and in the people’s experiences.

Lastly, weaving workshops will be provided. This activity is practiced by very few people. Little by little it is being lost. Therefore, it will take place in 2 months due to its very complexity with the guidance of the Elders.
