Hand to Hand empowers people to access food, quality education, medical care, overcome dependency syndrome and achieve gender equality in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The organization’s mandate includes advocacy, empowerment through education, women’s economic empowerment, development of entrepreneurial skills and assistance to under-resourced families. The main focus is on six key SDGs: No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Quality Education, Gender Equality, Climate Action and Decent work and economic growth.
The project will document and support culturally-based traditional agricultural livelihoods and will promote them to become models for local sustainable development by increasing food production and income. It will strengthen community leaders and organizations so that they will make their own decisions for sustainable management.
