This project will generate a book of knowledge that will compile the main rites, ceremonies and collective histories of communities of Mitontic, Chiapas, for the preservation of Tsotsil knowledge and cultural values. Students of COBACH 137 will collect stories of grandparents which will be systematized, illustrated and translated from Tsotsil to Spanish. The collected stories will be recorded in audio and shared on Spotify and Facebook.
We will be able to acquire recording equipment, a systemizer, translator and content illustrator. The project seeks to:

1. Promote the recognition of the importance of inter-generational dialogue of peoples through the collection of collective histories
2. Document local knowledge and stories through a book of knowledge for the intergenerational transmission of ancestral wisdom
3. Disseminate the voice and historical memory through a written work and audios on digital platforms to preserve the vision of the good living of the peoples.
